Woodland Park Zoo - June 2010

This is a very cute photo / video montage put to very fun music of the sights we captured during the Eisenhower Middle School end of year field trip. I was the parent chaperone for Austin's group. We had a very good time and saw some really great animal antics. You will enjoy some very funny moments and some very touching moments. Watch it with your kids too... they will love it.... almost as fun as being at the zoo. ENJOY!

Amanda being recognized as an "Outstanding Student" in mathematics at Cascade High School

Amanda was nominated by her Geometry teacher in recognition of her academic achievements. Here is what Ms. Parker has to say about Amanda, "Amanda is an excellent role model and quiet leader in Geometry class. She consistently turns in excellent work, is always on task, and demonstrates an incredible work ethic daily." We are so proud of Amanda's achievement, especially since this is an honor's class and being a freshman in a sophomore class. We are so proud of you. Keep up the good work. You have a bright future ahead of you.

Austin's School Jogathon - 5th Grade

Austin's last jogathon at James Monroe Elementary school. Each year all the kids run laps for an hour to raise money for much needed items for the school. I volunteered to help out Ms. Qualey with her class. Click on the photo below to view the photo/video album....

Sensational September

This month we sent the kids back to school, Amanda to 8th grade and Austin to 5th. Then we helped Miss Laura West celebrate her 30th birthday. Amanda and I went to see a friend in the play, "The Wizard of Oz." That was a lot of fun and Amanda enjoyed being in the audience, since she is usual on stage. I got some time in the garden and spruced up the yard now that fall has set in. And, of course, the kitties were captured doing what they do best... being cute & sleeping. Austin and I get to explore Edmonds three times a week now that Amanda is back at Barclay Shelton Dance Centre.

Applause Studio at Austin's High School Musical Event

In February, Austin's school had a "High School Musical" fun night. Amanda, along with some fellow Applause Studio dancers, performed a dance from the movie and then taught it to all the kids. They then all performed it together. They all did very well! Check it out!!!
