Oh, deer!!

Now I know how we ended up with so many deer in our back yard! Never a dull moment at the Rice house!

This year's back yard Bobcat

Here is the latest addition of our backyard Bobcat family. This beauty came to visit the other day and even let me get fairly close to her. She wagged her tail at me and moved closer to me as well. We both stood there for awhile checking each other out. This one looks to be a youngster still. Our last backyard bobcat sighting was January of 2008 so I was very excited to see this one show up!!

Raccoons in our Cherry Tree

A mama raccoon brought her three babies to our backyard for a treat.... fresh cherries from our cherry tree.

Wylie Coyote in our back yard

This isn't a good quality video as I had to quickly shoot it through my kitchen window. The coyote had been trotting around in our back yard, looking for one of our cats, no doubt. Can you spot it in front of the tree?

Naughty Raccoons in the Back Yard

I finally caught these critters in the act. Every morning, I have to go and rescue my bird bath, which gets knocked over by these thirsty raccoons looking for water.

Pesky Deer eating my roses

One of many sightings of deer in our back yard. They love to eat our flowers and even ate the hot peppers Bob was growing. We are not to pleased with these critters turning our back yard garden into a salad bar! But they sure are cute!!

Raccoon family in our back yard

This raccoon family came to dinner in our back yard to nibble on plums and cherries. After dinner, they played follow the leader with our cat, Trouble (RIP - our Trouble kitty was killed by a coyote in September of 2004). Many times I have found the raccoons sleeping on our back porch.
