Jasmine Performs with the Con Brio Women's Choir

We attended a wonderful Christmas concert last night -- Comfort & Joy -- which featured Jasmine's choral group, the Con Brio Women's Choir, as well as 3 other amazing choral groups. It was great to have Ann join us from Washington D.C., not to mention... Donna too, who just moved back to Washington to stay!

Here is a short video clip of Jasmine singing with her group

We Celebrated Jasmine's birthday at our house with the family. Bob made his killer spaghetti and I added my famous meatballs. Yummo! Baskin Robbins provided the delicious mint chocolate chip ice cream cake. Click the photo to view the album.

Easter 2009 with the Rice Family

This year Bob and I put on a scavenger hunt for the kids to find their Easter Baskets (see the video below the photo album).
After that it was off to the back yard to see what the Easter Bunny left. We topped the day off with an Easter Brunch at Glen & Diane's with the extended Rice Family. Hope you all had a fabulous day!

Observing October

October came in with the first wind storm of the season. Bob had to go out and cut a big dangling branch off of a tree in our backyard. He rescued my bench too, which later was moved to our back porch for safe keeping.

We had a belated birthday celebration for Jesse. He was gone most of the summer feeding the fire fighters in Oregon and California... so we were not able to celebrate his birthday in August.

Amanda made it onto the Dance Theatrics Junior Company at Barclay Shelton Dance Centre in Edmonds. When she is at rehearsal... Austin and I go for walks in Edmonds.

Bob, Austin, and I went to the pumpkin patch in Snohomish.

Then, we had some pumpkin carving fun with Amanda and Austin.

Halloween was fun at the Rice house. I decorated our front walk and doorstep for
the trick-or-treaters. check out the kids costumes. We had some fun visitors too.

Joyous July!!!

We start with the 4th of July festivities in Edmonds. Then, we celebrated Jasmine's 24th birthday on July 10, went to the Stevie Wonder Concert on July 11, and then spent the weekend of the 13th & 14th at the Mill Creek Festival where Amanda and Bob performed a 45-minute version of "The Great Penelope." Then it was more concert fun at Ringo Starr on July 19 and James Taylor on July 22, which were both at the Chateau Ste. Michelle winery in Woodinville. I hosted Bingo this month at my house on the 25th and captured some fun clips of the after-hour fun. We topped the month off with our annual camping trip to Kalaloch. Even though we were really busy... we still found time to hang out in the back yard and enjoy our kitties!! Enjoy the photos.

Jam Packed June

June was a crazy busy month for our family. I hosted a garden party on June 1, which was like a HGTV in my back yard. A local garden nursery--My Garden--did a garden make-over in our back yard. Amanda kept us busy with lots of fun stuff, including the Ike Choir Celebration field trip, Applause Studio recital, and the Ike Choral event--"Welcome to TV Land." Then we attended Jasmines College Graduation ceremony and celebrated Father's Day all in the same weekend. Not to worry - I got plenty of entertaining stuff from Austin and the cats too. Come back to check out photos from Austin's school family night at the Aquasox Game, Last Day of School fun, our Annual Cousin's tea, and Jasmine's Graduation Celebration. Enjoy the many photos!!!
